Symptoms of ovarian cancer an overview

Ovarian cancer can cause several signs or symptoms. Women are more likely to have symptoms if the cancer has spread to other organs.

The most common symptoms are:

  • Bloating
  •  Abdominal pain
  • Trouble eating or feeling full quickly
  • Urinary symptoms such as increased urgency or frequency
  • Weight loss
  • Changes in the bowel habits, such as constipation

Some of these symptoms are caused by benign diseases and cancers from other organs. Other symptoms of ovarian cancer include:

  • Fatigue
  • Back pain
  • Upset stomach
  • Pain during sex
  • Menstrual changes

These symptoms, however, are more likely to be caused by other conditions and most of them occur in women who don’t have ovarian cancer.
